Asia Pacific Photovoltaic Industry Council established in Shanghai on May 7

The Asia-Pacific Photovoltaic Industry Council, the Asia Pacific Photovoltaic Industry Organization that accounts for two-thirds of the world's photovoltaic cell production and nearly one-third of its application market, was established in Shanghai on May 7. The council consists of the Japan Solar Photovoltaic Power Association, the Korean Solar Energy Association of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Association, the Malaysia Photovoltaic Industry Association, the Australian Photovoltaic Association, etc., and the China Renewable Energy Society and Photovoltaic Special Committee, China's Comprehensive Utilization of Renewable Energy Resources The professional committee and Shanghai New Energy Industry Association initiated the establishment. The permanent establishment of the Council will adopt the method of rotation hosting, with the first office in Japan.
According to relevant sources from the Shanghai New Energy Industry Association, the Asia-Pacific Photovoltaic Industry Council aims to strengthen scientific research, improve photoelectric conversion efficiency, stabilize the quality of photovoltaic products, reduce production costs and costs, and accelerate the market development and utilization of photovoltaic products. The solar photovoltaic industry in the Asia-Pacific region has developed in a healthy and sustainable manner and has cooperated fully with the European Photovoltaic Industry Organization to jointly promote the production and application of photovoltaic new energy, and has made greater contributions to the replacement of traditional fossil energy and mitigation of global climate change.
It is reported that the photovoltaic industry in the Asia Pacific region has developed rapidly in recent years, and its scale has far exceeded that of EU countries led by Germany. However, in addition to Japan, the area is still far away from Europe in terms of photovoltaic applications; and between photovoltaic cell producers and even production companies, industry standards, technologies, quality, cost control, market development, etc. On the other hand, there are considerable differences and deficiencies, sometimes even causing unfair competition and affecting the healthy development of the regional photovoltaic industry.
