According to the price monitoring center of the National Development and Reform Commission monitoring 36 large and medium-sized cities throughout the country, the national automobile market prices remained generally stable in August, and the prices of domestic cars and imported cars steadily declined.

First, the price of domestic cars has declined steadily or slightly. Domestic auto prices in August decreased by 0.02% from the previous month and 1.01% from the same period of last year. Prices of passenger cars and commercial vehicles fluctuated slightly.

Passenger car prices fell by 0.19% month-on-month and 1.63% year-on-year. In the subdivided models, the price of basic passenger cars fell by 0.79% from the previous month and 0.48% from the same period of last year; the price of minivans was the same as that of the previous month, down 2.69% year-on-year; the price of sports passenger cars was up 0.07% from the previous month. , a year-on-year decrease of 2.66%.

Commercial vehicle prices rose slightly, up 0.20% from the previous quarter and 0.50% from the same period last year. Among them, the price of commercial buses rose by 0.78% month-on-month, 0.89% lower than the same period of last year. Among the subdivisions, the price of light buses increased by 0.26% qoq and 0.59% year-on-year; the price of large passenger cars increased by 0.95% qoq and 0.99% year-on-year. The price of commercial trucks fell by 0.59% month-on-month and 0.06% over the same period of last year. Among the subdivided models, the price of large trucks fell by 1.14% month-on-month and 0.19% year-on-year; the price of light trucks remained unchanged from the previous month, up 4.28% year-on-year; the price of medium trucks rose by 0.06% from the previous month and was down 1.20% year-on-year.

Second, the price of imported cars continued to decline slightly. In August, the price of imported automobiles fell by 0.20% compared with the previous period, a decrease of 1.42% from the same period last year. Among them, the price of imported cars dropped by 0.19% and 2.62% year-on-year, respectively, and the prices of imported SUVs decreased by 0.21% and 0.23% respectively year-on-month.

It is expected that with the modest reduction of the manufacturer's scheduling plan and the approach of the seasonal sales season, the inventory pressure will gradually weaken and the car prices will show a steady decline and a downward trend.
