FANUC commonly used parameters in maintenance

FANUC system has a lot of machine parameters, which brings convenient conditions for the installation, debugging and routine maintenance of CNC machine tools. According to many years of practice, the application of commonly used machine tool parameters in maintenance is introduced.

1. Hand pulse generator damaged. In a FANUC 0TD CNC lathe, the hand pulse generator malfunctioned, making it impossible to fine-tune the tool, and it is necessary to replace or repair the faulty parts. At the time, there were no suitable spare parts. You can set parameter 900#3 to “0” first, and temporarily use the manual pulse generator instead. Use the jog button single pulse generator operation to perform the tool fine-tuning work. Wait until the hand pulse generator is repaired before setting this parameter to "1".

2. An overtravel alarm occurs when the machine returns to the reference point after turning on the machine. In the process of returning to the reference point, the machine tool mentioned above has a 510 or 511 overtravel alarm. There are two processing methods:

(1) If the 510 or 511 overtravel alarm occurs while the X axis is returning to the reference point, change the parameter 0700LT1X1 value to +99999999 (or change the 0704LT1X2 value to -99999999) and return to the reference point again. If there is no problem, change the value of parameter 0700 or 0704 to the original value.

(2) Press the P and CAN keys at the same time to turn on the power to eliminate the overtravel alarm.

3. A FANUC 0i CNC lathe, ALM701 alarm appeared soon after starting. Explain from the maintenance manual that the fan on the upper part of the control unit is overheated, open the electrical cabinet of the machine, check that the fan motor does not operate, check the normal fan power supply, and determine that the fan is damaged. Because the fan of the same type cannot be purchased at one time, first set the parameter RRM8901#0. Change to "1" to release the ALM701 alarm first, then cool in strong cooling air. After the fan is purchased, change PRM8901 to "0" again.

4. In a machining center of FANUC 0M CNC system, when the spindle is in the process of tool change, when the main shaft comes into contact with the tool change arm, an abnormal impact noise occurs. The reason for the failure was analyzed because the positioning of the spindle was inaccurate. As a result, the spindle head and the tool change arm were not in good agreement. This would undoubtedly cause mechanical crashes, and there were obvious crash marks in both places. After investigation, there was no mechanical looseness of the tool changer arm and the spindle head, and the positioning motion of the tool changer arm was accurate. Therefore, the parameter value of N6577 was modified to solve the problem. After the original data 1525 was changed to 1524, the fault was eliminated.

5. Close-level parameters 0900 ~ 0939 maintenance method. When parameter transmission is performed according to FANUC 0MC operating instructions, it is inconvenient to input the dense-type parameters 0900 to 0939 in MDI mode. Now we introduce a transmission method that can transmit dense parameters including 0900~0939. The steps are as follows:

(1) Set the mode switch to EDIT position;

(2) Press the PARAM button to select the display parameter screen;

(3) Set the external receiving device to the STAND BY state;

(4) Press the EOB key first, and then press the OUTPOT key to output all the parameters.
6. A FANUC 0MC vertical machining center, due to the failure of the absolute position coding battery, causes X, Y, and Z to lose reference points, and must reset the reference point.

(1) Change PWE “0” to “1”, change parameters NO.76.1=1, NO.22 to 00000000, then CRT displays “300” alarm that X, Y, Z axis must manually return to the reference point.

(2) Turn off and on again. Use the handwheel to move X and Y to the reference position. Changing parameter NO.22 to 00000011 means that X and Y have established a reference point.

(3) Move the Z-axis near the reference point, install a tool shank on the spindle, and then manually arm it so that it completely clamps the shank. In this case, change parameter NO.22 to 00000111, which means that the Z axis establishes a reference point. Set NO76.1 to "00" and PWE to 0.

(4) Turn off and on again, and check the mechanical reference point with G28 X0, Y0, Z0.

7. No alarm caused by machine parameters. A FANUC 18i-W walks slowly, and the CRT shows that the X, Y, U, and V axis positions are inaccurately displayed after power on, that is, the original three digits after the decimal point are normally displayed, and the four digits after the decimal point are displayed before, and the CRT does not have Alarm information. First of all, it should be suspected that the parameter change caused the above failure. Check parameter found NO.0000#2 INI change, the original normal display "0" (mean metric input), and display "1" (imperial system input) in case of failure, after changing the parameter to "0", the digital display is normal .

8. Machine fan alarm, can not find, buy too late, you can modify the parameter 8901, the fan alarm cancellation, temporarily boot processing. Buy the fan and replace it. (FANUC 18 OR FANUC16 OR FANUC 0I SYSTEM)

9. PAR3208#1 can lock the SYSTEM KEY if the protection parameters are not modified. PAR3292#7 can make the parameter lock open. The protection program parameters are PAR3202.
