iOS8 supports multi-screen application features

iOS8, the next iteration of Apple's mobile operating system, may have side-by-side application support. Application developer Steve Troughton Smith said on Twitter on Monday that Apple's iOS 8 software development kit has built-in code that allows users to run and display multiple applications at the same time. According to the developer, the application can be displayed as "quarter size, half size, or three quarter size."
Side-by-side application support is a highly coveted feature. It is already operating on Google's Android mobile operating system and provides support for Android smartphones and tablets from Samsung and LG. This feature is also seen as the key to turning to iOS devices, becoming a true productivity tool for developing a laptop or desktop along the same lines.
The multi-screen application at the Apple Global Developers Conference last week made its debut and was widely expected. Although several improvements have been demonstrated, including support for shared screen content on iOS and Mac, side-by-side application support has not been announced. It is not surprising that Apple did not publish support for side-by-side applications. Companies typically make hundreds of adjustments to iOS each year, and two hours of keynote presentation skills prove some of the upgrades.
