Jia Kang suffered a puncture on September 1, 2011 in the Dezhou section of the high-speed railway between Beijing and Shanghai. He lost control and rushed to the guardrail at a speed of more than 100 kilometers per hour. A family of three escaped and died. Afterwards, he was examined by the hospital. Jia Kang had four ribs and two spine fractures, and there were multiple visceral bruises.

On the third day after the incident, Jia Kang sent a series of micro-blogs on the bed of the “drive to disasters” and sued Kumho Tires. Kumho Tire said it will cooperate with relevant departments to investigate the cause of the accident. Since then, the relevant parties have not disclosed the final disposal of the traffic accident.

Jia Kang pointed out that in many cases, the driving rule that “the driver cannot drive the steering wheel and slam on the brakes after the tire puncture” is used as the basis for the “legal liability” of the driver.
