The Pirelli-Silicon plant was completed on May 31 last year. The company announced in November 2011 that it would spend US$400 million to build the Cirrus factory. So far, Pirelli has invested US$200 million in the Silar plant. This new project is the latter part of the investment plan for 2011. It is expected that this stage will be completed in 2017. By 2015, the tire production capacity of the Tinao plant is expected to reach 3.5 million pieces/year, and after full operation in 2017, its production capacity is expected to reach 5.5 million pieces/year.
