Two major factors restrict the rapid development of China's auto repair factory


As of 2012, the number of motor vehicles in China will reach 233 million units (including motorcycles), of which the vehicle population will reach 114 million units, and this figure will continue to grow rapidly. This includes auto parts and automobile maintenance and repairs. The automobile rear market has brought about broad prospects. In particular, the average “up to license age” of car ownership for this broken billion is only 3.5 years, which means that as the age of vehicles grows, the service scale of China's auto aftermarket will be 460 billion yuan in 2012. It rose to 766 billion yuan in 2015, and even by 2020 it will reach a market scale of over one trillion yuan.

Faced with such a large and fast-growing market, maintenance plants that serve as terminals in the automotive aftermarket have huge business opportunities. However, judging from the current industry situation, there are two factors that are restricting the rapid development of China's auto repair factory.

The first is the lack of maintenance personnel and the conflict between fast-growing vehicles.

The 1.14 billion car ownership is composed of many different brands of different types of cars. There are dozens of brands that are currently on the market. There are at least five models for each brand. On average, each model is based on a small one-year change. After three years of major changes and a five-year-and-a-law change, more than 150 models of new cars are listed each year. With the existing models, more than 2,000 models are on the roads in China. This brings business opportunities to companies that make auto parts and brings opportunities to repair shops. But for an auto mechanic, this is a nightmare. How can we meet the maintenance needs of different models? This is the problem that the repair shop that originally lacks maintenance technicians needs to solve first. This is related to the issue that the market cake is so big and how much you can eat.

The second factor is the lengthy procurement of auto parts.

As the upstream industry of automobile maintenance plants, the development of the auto parts industry directly affects the production and development of downstream maintenance plants. However, at present, China's auto parts market is only looking beautiful, or the future is very embarrassing, but now it is chaotic. In particular, the quality of spare parts is not qualified, the upstream and downstream docking is not smooth and other issues so that the repair shop is a headache in the procurement of spare parts.

In China, the parts procurement channels for 4S stores are single, and most of them are directly supplied exclusively by vehicle manufacturers. However, social repair shops need to purchase their own products. In most cases, they must face multiple levels of dealer channels to purchase the desired products. The quality of the purchased products cannot be guaranteed because of the length of the channel hierarchy. The need for high-quality brand components and 4S shop repair workshops is very unpleasant. It calls for more direct brand component suppliers to purchase. However, at present, this is only a trend that will take some time to develop.

The ever-increasing models make the maintenance plant, which has been lacking in talents, “stretched” in rapid development, and the lengthy procurement of auto parts has become the two major factors restricting the delivery market of China's auto repair factories.
