US rumored smart meter releases harmful radiation

U.S. media reported that the latest research by the Texas Public Utilities Commission (PUC), after decades of investigation, did not provide an exact testimony that direct contact with low-level RF signals from the body could cause biological effects, and there was no reliable evidence that high-level meters emit large amounts of harmful radiation.

In addition, the research writes that "smart meters are used to measure the customer's total electricity consumption and transmit this data to the business company. The smart meter does not have the ability to damage individuals or guide their thoughts or actions."

The study, published in December last year, was released after some Texas residents raised questions about the health effects of smart meter RF radiation. The study was prepared by Alan Rivaldo of the PUC's Infrastructure and Reliability Division to objectively review global investigations involving this question, including recent investigations by the California Science and Technology Commission, research conducted by the Michigan Public Service Commission and the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, and from electricity. An on-site report from the Research Institute (EPRI).

The report pointed out that the on-site report from the Electric Power Research Institute is based on full scientific principles and has extremely high reliability.

At the end of the report, a large number of scientific studies involving the biological effects of EMF on organisms have undergone a period of at least seven decades. These studies are part of human knowledge on a wide range of physical research on this subject, and safety standards are based on human knowledge.

But it needs to be cautious that the investigation will continue when individuals propose that research is banned or when individual research is used as evidence to prove that some of the hazards or diseases have been overlooked. Other reports may produce conflicting results. We must understand what the scientific laws must obey and how to interpret the study.
