Use of combined agents in the separation of lead and zinc ore
When flotation collector lead-zinc ore with thio compounds, lead and zinc are almost always lead zinc depressant solutions. There are two main types of separation methods: cyanide and non-cyanide.
1. Cyanide method: There are few cases of cyanide alone, and usually always cooperate with other inhibitors. For example, cyanide is often used in combination with zinc sulfate. However, cyanide is toxic and dissolves gold and silver . In recent years, many mines have switched to non-cyanide methods, or zinc sulphate has been used in combination with less cyanide.
2. Non-cyanide method: The main agents used in the non-cyanide method are H 2 SO 3 , Na 2 SO 3 , ZnSO 4 and SO 2 gases. For example, a lead-zinc-sulphur mine adopts a preferential flotation process. When floating lead, ZnSO 4 + Na 2 SO 3 (1.4:1) has been used to suppress sphalerite.
