Volkswagen XL1 unveiled at Guangzhou Auto Show

Volkswagen XL1 developed a new type of ultra-efficient car. The new car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system, with a total mileage of 500 kilometers. This marks the third stage of evolution of the Volkswagen 1 liter car. The car appeared on the public night of the Guangzhou Auto Show yesterday.

The XL1 is 3.8 meters long, 1.66 meters wide and smaller than the Polo. It also features a Coupe design and a gullwing door. It has an embedded rear hub and a camera-based rearview mirror.

In the interior design, this XL1 prototype uses a more traditional cockpit design, the previous model shows the front and rear seat design.

As far as technology is concerned, only 23% of the car is made of steel or iron, and the rest uses carbon fiber materials to keep the weight of the car low enough. More precisely, the car weighs 795 kg.

Its perfect aerodynamic design makes the car's drag coefficient only 0.189. The low center of gravity design also makes the body height only 1153 mm.
