Reported at 11:00 on August 27th, State Grid Beijing Power Company dispatched a 400 kilowatt emergency power generation car to the Olympic stadium of the main venue of the Wu Pai Association. The operating personnel of the Chaoyang Power Supply Company are under intense access to the venue cable. It said that during the race, the generator car will be in a hot standby state. If a fault occurs on one line, the generator car can be accessed in real time, which will not affect the athletes' normal game and audience watching. It is understood that the State Grid Beijing Power Company also dispatched two sets of 1,600 kilowatts of power generation vehicles to provide backup power at the Beijing University of Science and Technology and the China Agricultural University Gymnasium. During the race, there will be 15 sets of 13,880 kW emergency power generation vehicles and 2 432 kW uninterruptible power supply (UPS) vehicles that will be put on standby at multiple bases in the city to meet the needs of responding to multiple emergency power supply tasks at the same time.

From 8 o'clock on August 22 to 24 o'clock on September 6, National Grid’s Beijing company entered the power protection phase of the Wu Pai Society. During this period, it will stop all planned maintenance work and switching operations involving the upper-level power grid of the Wu Pai Association. The power protection work of the beat will continue the Olympic power-saving mode, and it will be operated in a fully wired and fully protected manner.

It is predicted that the rated load in Beijing this year during the Olympics will be 13 million kilowatts, an increase of 13.74% over the same period of last year. The Wu Pai Association has already identified 11 important power-reserving sites, including five competition venues and six athletes' stations. The external power supply facilities of these sites have been fully investigated.

Wu Baohui maintains a series of measures for the protection of electricity in the Beijing Olympic Games, including UHF, infrared, ultrasonic, and ground wave technologies. It fully implements the transmission, transformation, and distribution equipment that involves the power supply security of the Wu Pai Society. Condition monitoring, at the same time, in accordance with the goal of “zero defects” of the equipment, special patrol inspections of the relevant station lines and street lighting facilities and the centralized elimination of key equipment were carried out.

At present, the key substations involved in the Martial Arts Association have all been put into operation. Video signals of some key substations are uploaded to the Beijing Power Grid Monitoring Center and the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau's Internal Security Bureau through dedicated cable channels to achieve emergency situations. The police responded quickly with linkage. During the Wu Bahui meeting, State Grid Beijing Corporation will implement special patrols on key lines, substations, tunnels and roads in key areas to prevent external accidents.
