Dong Yang: The 12th Five-Year Plan no longer excessively pursues production and scale

Dong Yang, executive vice president and secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, told Fenghuang.com that the "12th Five-Year Plan" of the automotive industry will no longer be excessively pursuing output and scale, but will focus more on quality and level. Dong Yang said that the auto industry is working hard to adjust the product structure. Not long ago, at the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” symposium held by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and major auto companies in China, Dong Yang mentioned that by 2015, the planned production capacity of major enterprises in the Chinese auto industry will be between 23 million and 31 million, and that of Chinese autos. The planning of each company is implemented rollingly, and companies can adjust inventory according to the market in a timely manner. At present, companies are fully promoting the research and development of energy-saving and new energy vehicles. At the same time, Dong Yang stated that it is worth noting that certain local governments are eager to enter the auto industry in the name of pursuing one-sided auto projects and the use of new energy vehicles by outsiders.
