Jinling Petrochemical Jointly Developed Hydraulic Turbines to Fill the Blank

On May 30, Jinling Petrochemical and Shenyang Greed Pumps Group jointly developed the first multi-stage hydraulic turbine in China to use the “full moon”. During one month of the use of the Jinling Petrochemicals's alkylbenzene complex, the machine has achieved a number of operational indicators such as vibration values, noise values, temperatures, and pressures that have reached the level of similar foreign products, with significant energy savings.

Hydraulic turbines, also known as turbines, convert the energy of liquid fluids into kinetic energy, reducing the power consumption of equipment, and are used in petrochemical industries. However, the hydraulic turbines used in the country have all depended on imports and are expensive.

Last year, Jinling Petrochemical Co., Ltd. carried out the development of hydraulic turbines in conjunction with the Shenyang Greed Pump Group while expanding the capacity of the alkylbenzene complex. The two sides completed the model design and improvement of the hydraulic turbine by exchanging the prior technical reserves and selecting the best technical route. They have succeeded in manufacturing the first multi-stage hydraulic turbine in China by conquering many technical problems such as high temperature, high pressure, resistance to erosion, cavitation, gas-liquid mixing, and axial balance forces. The results show that the vibration, noise, temperature, pressure, and other indicators of this multi-stage hydraulic turbine have reached the level of similar foreign products, and the cost is only one-fifth that of similar imported equipment. After being used on Jinling Petrochemical's alkylbenzene plant, this machine can recover 200 kilowatts of pressure energy per hour. It is estimated that it can save 1.68 million kwh per year.
