Methanol to olefin technology is a new way to make olefins from non-oil feedstocks. The project is in line with the national industrial policy. Sinopec's methanol-to-olefins project settled in Liyang
With a total investment of nearly 1.5 billion yuan, Zhongyuan Petrochemical's ethylene raw material route reform (MTO) project has recently been approved by China Petrochemical Corporation and officially settled in Liyang. This marks the entry into the implementation stage of the methanol-to-olefin technology developed by Sinopec, and is an important step in the scale-up of domestic technology for coal-based olefins.
