WABCO recently held a two-day 2011 supplier conference in Jinan. About 120 representatives from more than 80 suppliers in China and Asia and Europe attended the meeting. The conference further strengthened WABCO's global network of suppliers of raw materials and product parts to support the company's global engineering and manufacturing operations. Currently, WABCO has procurement centers in Europe, Brazil, India and China. In 2010, WABCO’s share of procurement in emerging countries accounted for 43% of its global share, compared with only 10% a decade ago. This is the first time that WABCO has held its annual supplier conference in China. China is playing an increasingly important role in WABCO's global supply chain. In China, WABCO now operates four world-class factories to provide products to customers in China, Asia, and around the world.
