China's car sales in 2010 ranked first in the world

Following the first time in 2009 that the United States has surpassed the United States to become the world’s largest automobile production and sales country, China will continue to win the championship of the global championship this year.

Yesterday, the CLUCC announced that in November the sales volume of domestic passenger cars (cars, including cars, SUVs, MPVs, and micro-buses) was 11.85 million, and that in the United States was only 10.41 million. In addition to the undisclosed sales of commercial vehicles, it is expected that China’s sales in the first 11 months will exceed 3 million in the United States.

According to the data of the Federation of Travelers and Delegates, domestic sales of passenger vehicles in November were 1,281,100, a year-on-year increase of 27%. The largest increases were SUVs and MPVs, with increases of 77.3% and 50.9%, respectively. In the first 11 months, the cumulative sales of domestic passenger vehicles reached 11.85 million, an increase of 31% over the same period last year, of which sales of MPV and SUV products both increased by more than 80%.

Among the domestic passenger car manufacturers, Shanghai GM and Shanghai Volkswagen have the highest sales. Both car companies sold more than 100,000 vehicles in November. Sales of Shanghai GM reached 948,000 vehicles in November, which is expected to become China's first passenger car company with annual sales of over 1 million units.

As China's car sales continue to climb, the Chinese market has also seen a corresponding increase in the global position of multinational car companies. According to data released by Ford China, Ford sold 525,100 vehicles in the first 11 months of this year, an increase of 39% year-on-year. In November, GM’s sales in China reached 2,172,400, which exceeded GM’s sales in the United States, and China has become the world’s largest market for GM.

It is worth mentioning that, in the first 10 months of this year, China’s car sales have reached 14.67 million vehicles, more than last year. In the same period, US vehicle sales were only 9,545,500 vehicles, which is less than 5 million vehicles in China. In addition, December is the peak season for the traditional consumption of Chinese automobiles. It is the foremost year that China's auto sales have reached the first place in the world.
