Mercury glass thermometers are generally used in industrial boilers. They have the characteristics of large measuring range, high measurement accuracy, and simple structure. They are mainly composed of temperature measuring package, expansion capillary tube and ruler, which are divided into internal standard and external standard. Two kinds.
1. The ruler of the internal standard mercury thermometer is engraved on a milky glass plate placed behind the expansion capillary. It is usually used to measure feed water temperature, return water temperature, economizer outlet water temperature, and air preheater inlet and outlet air temperature.
2. The external standard mercury thermometer has a thick glass tube. The ruler grid is directly carved on the outer surface of the glass tube and is suitable for measuring the temperature of liquids and gases in the laboratory.
