Yantai Raffles Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. built the world's first semi-submersible yacht special transport ship for DOCKWISE in the Netherlands.
The Dutch DOCKWISE company is currently the world's largest multi-purpose marine heavy transport company, the construction of this yacht-specific transport vessel, dedicated to the transport of transatlantic luxury yachts. The total length of the ship is 209.34 meters, the width is 32.2 meters, the depth is 8.5 meters, the structure draught is 5.8 meters, the maximum draft is 22 meters, and the total load is 12,500 tons. The ship uses main engine power generation, electric propulsion, electric propeller power of 5100 kW, design speed of 18 knots, and entered the Norwegian Classification Society. The ship's huge ballast system has reached the world's leading level. The semi-submersible yacht transport vessel was built for the first time in China, filling the gap in China's shipbuilding category.
In order to ensure the safe launch of the giant ship, Yantai Maritime Safety Administration, Safety Supervision Bureau, CCS Classification Society and other personnel visited the site and powered by electric winch to successfully launch the 15,000-ton wheel that was built on the berth through the launching barge.
